We are pleased to present this installment of Pandemic Policies and Practices, a distance-accessible series that will host discussions of relevant and thought-provoking ethical issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. This session examines the particular ethical concerns that this pandemic raises relating to people with disabilities. These include questions of access to healthcare, policies within the healthcare system (such as the allocation of ventilators), and the risks for people with disabilities associated with ‘reopening’ the economy. Throughout her career, Professor Crossley has closely examined questions of justice in the healthcare system for people with disabilities and the legal and policy responses. Join Mary Crossley, JD and Elizabeth Van Nostrand, JD of the University of Pittsburgh as they discuss concerns most pressing for those with disabilities during this pandemic. The webinar will begin with a brief presentation by Professor Crossley, who will then converse with Professor Van Nostrand and address questions posed by the audience.
